Introduction
This Privacy Policy describes how Maven Works HR (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you visit our website and use our services. We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal information with care and transparency.
Information We Collect
Information You Provide to Us
When you contact us for an initial consultation, we collect the following information:
- Name
- Email address
- Phone number
- Information about your HR issues and needs that you choose to share during our consultation inquiry process
Information Automatically Collected
When you visit our website, our hosting provider processes certain technical information in order to deliver the site, keep it secure, and count visits, including:
- IP address
- Browser type and version
- Device information
- The page you viewed and the site you arrived from
- Country
Analytics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read. It is deliberately chosen for being privacy-preserving: it sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device, and uses no fingerprinting.
It produces aggregate counts only. We do not build a profile of you, we cannot identify you from it, and we cannot follow you across other websites.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
Consultation Information
- To schedule and conduct initial consultations
- To understand your HR needs and determine how we can assist you
- To provide you with information about our services
- To communicate with you about potential consulting engagements
- To follow up on consultation requests
Technical Information
- To deliver the website to you
- To ensure website security
- To understand in aggregate which pages are useful
How We Share Your Information
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share your information only in the following limited circumstances:
- Service Providers: We may share information with trusted third-party service providers who assist us in operating our website or conducting our business, provided they agree to keep your information confidential
- Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information when required by law, court order, or other legal process
- Business Protection: We may disclose information to protect our rights, property, or safety, or that of our clients or others
Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.
Your California Privacy Rights
If you are a California resident, you have certain rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including:
- Right to Know: You have the right to know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose about you
- Right to Request Deletion: You have the right to request that we delete your personal information, subject to certain exceptions
- Right to Opt-Out: You have the right to opt-out of the sale of your personal information (we do not sell personal information)
- Right to Non-Discrimination: You have the right not to be discriminated against for exercising your privacy rights
Data Retention
We retain your personal information only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected. Consultation information is retained for the duration of our business relationship and as required by professional and legal obligations.
Cookies and Tracking Technologies
This website sets no cookies of its own, and the analytics we use are cookieless by design. Our hosting provider may set a security cookie to distinguish real visitors from automated traffic. It carries no advertising or tracking function.
Because nothing is stored on your device and no profile is built, there is no tracking to consent to and no cookie banner.
Third-Party Links
Our website may contain links to third-party websites. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those websites, and we are not responsible for their privacy practices. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party sites you visit.
Children’s Privacy
Our services are not directed to individuals under the age of 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 18, we will take steps to delete such information.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable laws. We will post any changes on this page and update the “Last Updated” date. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
Professional Confidentiality
As HR professionals, we maintain strict confidentiality standards regarding all client information and consultations, in accordance with professional HR ethics and applicable laws.
